故事簡介

即使題材是硬橋硬馬的黑幫弑殺，譚家明仍掩不住他的浪漫情懷。馬列受戀人張立的父親所托偷渡通緝犯進港，事情敗陣，張父落在黑幫手中，馬列則逃亡菲律賓。 黑幫頭子神爺逼張立做他的情婦，並和馬列斷絕了來往。六年後，已成職業殺手的馬列受神爺聘雇回港殺人，與張立巧遇重逢，兩人舊情復熾，並在張立的保鏢祥仔的協助下計劃私奔。飾演祥仔的梁朝偉戲份不多，卻最令人難忘，獲香港電影金像獎最佳男配角。

Synopsis

Dripping with fatalism and romanticism, My Heart Is That Eternal Rose can either be viewed as a love story dressed up as a gangster film or vice versa. Cheung, a retired triad member, is enlisted for one last job - to smuggle a fugitive back into Hong Kong. He enlists his daughter's boyfriend Rick to help. But the job goes wrong, Cheung is captured by the triads, and Rick is forced to go into exile, leaving the daughter, Lap, to sell herself as a whore to gangster boss Shen. Six years later, Rick returns to Hong Kong as an assassin working for Shen and reunites with Wong. Helped by Lap’s faithful bodyguard (an outstanding Tony Leung), the star-crossed lovers plan to elope.
