天水圍的日與夜

故事簡介
《桃姐》之前已有貴姐，雖要獨力撫養兒子，但從不怨天尤人。貴姐在超市工作，兒子是應屆會考生，母子過著平凡又平靜的生活。她年少時已在工廠當學徒，賺錢送兩個弟弟到外國升學，默默為家人作出犧牲，卻一向樂天知命，守望相助的熱情亦感染了鬱鬱寡歡的鄰家獨居老婦。許鞍華以濃厚人文關懷，拍出生活質感，影片裡的天水圍不再是傳媒渲染的悲情城市，沒有童黨沒有家暴，有的是晨光下徐徐開動的輕鐵、飄香的榴槤，以及幽默樸實的地道人情。

The Way We Are
Synopsis
The Hong Kong media once dubbed the district of Tin Shui Wai as “The City of Sadness” due to a series of domestic tragedies in the area. Director Ann Hui intentionally shatters those negative preconceptions with this award-winning docudrama, about a budding friendship between a kind widow and her elderly neighbor. The Way We Are shows us that despite having its share of tragedies and social problems, Tin Shui Wai is also a place filled with compassion, warmth and camaraderie between neighbors.
